How it works:

  • 1Simply enter your details and the details of your child into the form or login if you already have an account.
  • 2Our duty team of paediatric specialists will review your request and send telehealth appointments.
  • 3Accept the appointment and pay the fee. A link will be sent to you to join your consultation.
  • 4A child friendly video call will give the paediatrician the opportunity to assess how well your child looks.
  • 5After the consultation your specialist may send you prescription or a referral for pathology or radiology tests.
  • 6After your appointment and doctors assessment we will send a letter to your General Practitioner.

Technology requirements

DOCTO provides a highly secure video consultation platform that may be used on any device with a camera and internet connection. This includes PCs, smartphones, and tablets, but for best results, please use a laptop or PC whenever possible.

What to look out for when your child is sick

You can tell if your child has a fever by checking the temperature with a thermometer, feeling for warmth, or listening for rapid breathing. You may also notice that your child's skin feels warm and dry to touch. In younger children, parents may notice decreased activity level, loss of appetite, vomiting or diarrhea. Older kids might complain about pain all over or have trouble sleeping. Kids under two years old who get fevers often don't show other symptoms until later in the illness so it's important to talk to a doctor early.
